KIDS Company I Family Resource Center
What is a Family Resource Center? The Kentucky Family Resource and Youth Service Centers initiative was established with the passage of the Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA) of 1990. The mission of Family Resource and Youth Service Centers are to enhance the students abilities to succeed in school by developing and sustaining partnerships that promote: early learning and successful transition into school, academic achievement and well-being, graduation and transition into adult life.
Each Center has a unique blend of program components depending on location, available resources, local need and community input. Although funding is based on the number of free/reduced lunch students, the Family Resource Center serves ALL children and families of their school.
KIDS Company I Program Components:
After School Care for students age 4-12
Families in Training
Health Services or Referrals to Health Services
